Slab Leak Detection in Redhawk, Temecula

Redhawk is one of South Temecula’s largest communities, from the gated streets of The Fairways and Vintage at Redhawk to the neighborhoods around the Redhawk Golf Course. Like most homes in the area, Redhawk homes sit on concrete slabs, with water lines running underneath.

When one of those lines starts leaking, you can’t see it. You notice it through a warm floor, a rising bill, or the sound of water running when nothing is on.

Temecula Leak Experts provides slab leak detection for Redhawk homeowners. We find the exact location of the leak before anything is opened, so your floor isn’t broken in the wrong place.

Warning signs

Signs of a Slab Leak in Your Redhawk Home

A warm patch on tile or flooring, often a sign of a leaking hot water line

A water bill that climbs while your household habits stay the same

Running or hissing water sounds when every tap is off

Damp flooring or baseboards with no spill to explain them

A water meter that keeps moving when no water is being used

A musty smell that won’t go away in one room

Quick check: Turn off all water in the house, including irrigation, and look at your water meter. If it’s still moving, water is escaping somewhere. Our water leak detection page walks you through narrowing it down.

Local insight

Why Your Redhawk Home’s Build Year Matters

Redhawk wasn’t built all at once. Its neighborhoods went up over many years, roughly from the late 1990s through the late 2000s. That means two homes on nearby streets can have plumbing of very different ages, and that affects what a leak means for you.

Not sure when your home was built? Check your purchase documents or Riverside County assessor records, or simply ask us during the visit.

  • Older Redhawk homes have had more years of water pressure on their pipes. If you’ve already had one slab leak, the other lines under your slab are usually the same age and material.
  • Newer Redhawk homes with a single leak are often good candidates for a simple, targeted repair.
  • Pipe material can differ. PEX became part of California’s statewide plumbing code in August 2009, so many Redhawk homes built before then have copper lines. Some local areas allowed PEX earlier, though, so the only way to know for sure is to check.

Our process

How We Find Slab Leaks in Redhawk

1

We confirm the leak with a meter test,

so we know water is actually escaping.

2

We isolate the system:

hot side or cold side, inside the house or outside.

3

We trace the leak under your slab.

4

We mark the exact spot,

so any repair needs only one targeted opening.

5

We walk you through what we found

and give you a detection report with repair recommendations.

Most visits take 1 to 3 hours.

FAQ

Redhawk Slab Leak FAQ

Not necessarily. Redhawk homes were built over many years, so even homes on nearby streets can have plumbing of different ages and materials. Watch for the signs rather than assuming.

Many homes built before August 2009 do, but not all. Look at the pipes coming out of your water heater: copper is metal, while PEX is flexible plastic tubing. We can also confirm it during a visit.

Yes. Give us your gate details when you call, and we’ll coordinate access before we arrive.

One leak doesn’t automatically mean more are coming. But the other lines under your slab are usually the same age, so if a second leak appears, it’s worth looking at a reroute or repipe instead of another patch.

If water is coming up through the floor, shut off your main water valve and call us right away. Otherwise, it’s still worth acting quickly: a slab leak runs around the clock, and the damage and cost grow the longer it continues.
